Impact Stories

“In some of my darkest hours as a parent when I was under tremendous stress, burn out and isolation, Dad Guild provided a space I could connect with other dads and use the space as a sort of free therapy. Dad Guild is the only mental health resources I can afford (it’s free)."

“The library playgroups have helped me feel comfortable entering social situations as a single parent, and navigating some of the anxiety around being an adequate parent and being visible as a dad.”

“I almost haven’t known parenting without Dad Guild. It started just after my son was born and has been a constant part of my parenting experience. In some sense I grew into being a parent while Dad Guild grew as an organization. I cannot imagine being a father without it.”

"For the first 4 months of having a child, I really didn't leave the house much or get to connect with other parents.  Dad Guild gave me a really easy and convenient way to meet other parents who were going through or recently had gone through the same thing.  It was incredibly validating to share how I was feeling and have 10 other people all nod their heads in agreement.  It really gave me a lot of hope when things were hard that we weren't doing something obviously wrong or bad, and that it was just something we needed to get through and grow from."
