Dad Guild offers a wide range of programming, all designed to meet dads where they are at
Our events fall into the following categories:
Dads Only: Social and peer-support events intended for dads to connect
Caregiver Education: Opportunities for dads to deepen their knowledge on parenting topics. Intended as “dads only” unless otherwise stated.
Dads & Kids: Fun events for dads to meet and bring their kids to play
Whole Family: Big events where all caregivers and members of the family are welcome to join

Drop in - no registration required. Just come on by!
RSVP - we ask for dads to pre-register so we have a sense of attendance
In-person - event takes place in-person at the listed time and location
Virtual - event takes place online, via Zoom or Google Meet
Hybrid - event is both in-person and virtual. Attend whichever way works best. RSVPs will be emailed the meeting link in advance.
Dads & Kids: Magic The Gathering Co-op
Is your kid a fan of Magic: The Gathering?
Are you?
Looking for a unique way to play together?
Then make sure to join us at Quarterstaff for this special event where Dads & Kids can play together as a cooperative team, a gamestyle known as Two-Headed Giant. Each team will be given two sealed prerelease kits. Teams open packs and build new decks together on-the-spot, to then play against other teams.

Infant Massage class
This 5-part class series will teach dads how to use massage and touch to connect with their babies. Dads will learn the benefits of massage, gain parenting confidence, and strengthen communication with their babies. The classes are baby-led, it's okay if babies cry, sleep, eat, or need diaper changes during class.
Designed for infants aged 0-7 months.

Fletcher Free Library Playgroup
Join us on the second Sunday of every month from 3:30pm - 5pm for a low-key playgroup at the Fletcher Free Library in Burlington. We’ll be in the kids’ section, most likely sprawled out on the floor somewhere, attempting to have conversations with one another while our kids have other plans. Come with low expectations and you won’t leave disappointed.

Did you know that St. Michael’s University Green Mountain Dining Room is open to the public? We are willing to bet, maybe not.
Join us for a group Dads & Kids outing to grab a mid-week meal together, cafeteria style. We had so much fun in September we are heading back again! Dinner is on us, we just ask that you RSVP in advance so we can provide an accurate count.

We’ve been having tons of fun with our kid-safe cardboard cutters. So much so that this will become a regular monthly event now, hosted by Dad Fellow Matthew.

Upper Valley: 4th Annual Elizabeth's Park Takeover
Don’t know about Elizabeth’s Park? Step into a Time Machine and be transported back to 80s childhood. The wooden playground is gigantic. Like, really gigantic. Plus we’ll have coffee, baked goods, and apples!

We’ll be meeting up at three different playgrounds across Chittenden County, with stops in Burlington (7/27), Richmond (8/17) and Williston (9/28). Meet at Lucky’s Coffee Garage at 10:00 a.m. (we’ll head out right on time) for a relaxed, family-friendly out-and-back stroll on the beautiful Mascoma River Greenway. It’s a great chance to meet and connect with other Dads in the Upper Valley. Free and convenient parking is available just steps away at 10 Taylor Street behind Lebanon City Hall.

Join us for a special Kids Hop (part of Art Hop) version of our recurring Cardboard Creations series.
We recently got our hands on 5 Chomp Saws, which are kid-friendly table saw type machines for cutting cardboard that you absolutely cannot get hurt on, and we’re excited to try them out with all of you! We’ve been collecting cardboard from all of our friends here at The Soda Plant, and we’ll spend the morning making all kinds of things our imaginations can come up with. Feel free to bring any other supplies you think you might need!

This summer, one of our rad dads with a baby, Corey, will be hosting a couple of opportunities for dads & babies to meet up at Oakledge, go for a stroll, then chill in the grass. Meetups will take place on Sundays of July 20 & August 10 from 10am - 11:30am.

RESCHEDULE: Upper Valley Salamander Stroll
Interpretive Forest Walk with naturalist Ben Fletcher of the Hartford Salamander Club who will discuss springtime amphibian and bird activity in Upper Valley forests.
Walk details: Approximately 1.5-mile hike (3-mile total) to a vernal pool.
NOTE: Hiking path is not stroller friendly. Baby carriers (if needed) plus sneakers / hiking boots required.
