Understanding Child Dysregulation
When your kid is melting down at the end of the day, do you know what’s happening in their brain? In this workshop, we'll learn all about dysregulation and the "window of tolerance," which will help us better understand why our child is expressing big feelings that may show up in a variety of different ways. We'll then reflect on how we can become more attuned to our children's regulatory states and how we can intervene using co-regulation. This workshop is facilitated by Alex Shevrin Venet, education expert and author of the books Equity-Centered Trauma Informed Education and Becoming an Everyday Changemaker.

If only we had a nickel every time a father talked about wishing he could have an evening out with his partner, but unfortunately did not know any babysitters in the region. Well for all of you caregivers looking to meet some babysitters...we’ve got you covered.
Our first mingler events were so popular, we are making this a regular seasonal event. We’ll be inviting a bunch of available babysitters to the space. Please note that Dad Guild is not vouching for any of these sitters, but is creating the space for folks to connect.
Run Club
Join us for a casual 3.5 mile run! All experience levels welcome. Meet at the intersection of Staniford Road and the bike path in Burlington’s New North End. From there, we run to the bike/ped bridge at the Winooski River and back. We run in any weather, so please dress accordingly. If you’d like to join the Run Club WhatsApp group, please message Dan Castrigano at dan@dadguild.org.
Welcome to Fatherhood (WTF)
WTF! This three-hour workshop for expecting dads takes place quarterly. Dads-to-be will get the crash course on all things baby- related, including hearing from a doula from Vermont Doula Company and from a handful of “seasoned” dads about what to expect. They’ll also get the 20-minute Dad Guild orientation so they all know how they can get involved in Vermont’s largest fatherhood community. Participants will get an instant network of folks in similar positions getting ready to transition into parenthood, and everyone will receive a free copy of the book Baby 411.

Dads & Dungeons & Dragons

Sessions take place twice a month, but we run the same adventure for both, so regardless of which session you attend you won't be missing out. Premade characters and extra dice will be available.
