Sunday Morning Fam Jams
The Guild Hall is officially open for families to enjoy Sunday morning from 9:30am - 11am. From 9:30 - 10:00, father, musician, and early childhood educator Alex Baron facilitates a music jam for all family members. We’ll have some instruments on hand for you and your littles to enjoy! Following the musical portion of the morning, families are invited to spend the next hour enjoying a casual playgroup in the space. Families had been hanging around afterwards anyways, so we figured we’d just make it official!
Programming is designed for children ages 0-3 years
Additionally, our good friends at Haymaker Buns downstairs will be offering $5 kids’ meals with any adult meal purchased to all playgroup attendees!
Dad Guild Runs the Vermont City Marathon
Dad Guild is sponsoring a 5-person relay team for the Vermont City Marathon! There is no official meetup for this event—just cheer us on if you see us run by. We will be wearing green Dad Guild t-shirts and carrying an enormous stuffie!
The relay consists of five legs:
Leg 1: Tony Liberatore (South End loop, starting and ending downtown) (6.3 miles)
Leg 2: Dan Castrigano (New North End loop, starting and ending downtown) (6.8 miles)
Leg 3: Corey Woloschin (South End loop, starting and ending downtown) (6.2 miles)
Leg 4: Dave Steinmetz (downtown to New North End, ending at Leddy Park) (4.1 miles)
Leg 5: Marlon Fisher (Leddy Park to Waterfront Park) (2.8 miles)
Check out a map of the marathon here. Seeya out there!
Dad Trek Afterparty
Join us as we welcome the brave (and presumably very tired) dads as they end their majestic trek at Airport Park in Colchester.
We’ll have a fun finish line set up - playground toys, bubble machines, and some snacks.
Hot dogs will be offered as a lunch option. But folks are welcome to bring their own picnic lunches too.
RSVP requested https://online.traxsolutions.com/dadguild/main#/search
(so we know how many hot dogs to get)
And don’t forget to visit the Dad Trek fundraising page to make a donation (or sponsor a trekking dad)!

ADDISON: What Color Am I?
Everyone has skin, and skin comes in so many different colors. But where do these colors come from? Can we change our skin color? What color is our skin, really?
Curious kids (and caregivers) can join Rokeby Museum’s Education Programs Manager, Jonathon Ahl, for a fun, educational event designed for an early education setting that will explain the science behind where our skin color comes from. We’ll match colorful objects, experiment with skin-tone accurate paints, and finish the day by grabbing a mirror and painting your own “skin color” self-portrait!
appropriate for children ages 3-5. Each child should be accompanied by a caregiver.
RSVP Required: https://online.traxsolutions.com/dadguild/main#/search
Want to learn more about Rokeby’s pioneering work in developing an age-appropriate racial learning curriculum? Check out our podcast with Jonathon from March 2025.
